"Picturesong"

“Picturesong” is just phenomenal. Girlpool and Dev Hynds (Blood Orange) put together a song that is incredibly tight and minimal. The single kicks off so moody and somber, it’s surprising they could move into a sound so powerful at the end. The keys are such a staple to Dev’s production. It’s a leading element to how “Picuresong” moves. The contrast between the synth upfront and distorted guitar at the end, is stark, but the build is executed so well. Girlpool’s lyrics are vague, haunting and relatable to their audience. Overall, the full production is on point. 

“Picturesong” is a promising single for the upcoming full-length 'Powerplant,' coming out on Anti- May 12th.
