"Make Me Feel"

This is the stunning 80s revival track we all needed. "Make Me Feel" is a refreshing shift in sound since 2015's "Yoga". She's not hiding the Prince energy here, and she absolutely nails it. The bridge is what really makes this track so interesting. Instead of ramping up the melody, into a redundant top 40 radio hit, Monaé steps the vocals down and punches up the chorus. The Ghostbusters like synth, bright guitars, and neon clad music video max out the 80s nostalgia in the best way. Her forthcoming album, 'Dirty Computer,' is a highly anticipated release this year. Everything we're hearing from Janelle Monaé so far, solidifies why everyone is waiting for the album to drop.
